composer collective, String Theory. The site is built using a multi-layered Flash technique, CSS, and JavaScript. Streaming video utilizes the Flash video player (streaming .flv web-optimized video source), streaming audio is accomplished using customizable Flash components, and image slideshows use a Flash component as well.
The design for the site is based on aspects of the Fibonacci Series, or “Golden Mean,” in its proportions and color scheme.
One unique aspect of String Theory’s site is the ease with which the content can be updated. Almost all text material, images, audio, and video are externally loaded, so an editor does not need Flash in order to update this Flash website. Access to a simple text editor like NotePad and an FTP client are all one need to edit the site. And this can also be done from any computer, anywhere. |
